After the successful session on “Impact of Covid-19 on Global Food Industry” Pegasus Consultancy would like to organize the second session of Iftech Webinar Series on “Food Safety & Hygiene in the New Normal”.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the aspect of food safety to the forefront. Due to the highly transmissible nature of the virus, hygiene standards and safety measures have made their way to the top of the priority list.

Food hygiene – the conditions and measures necessary to ensure the safety of food from production to consumption. Food can become contaminated at any point during slaughtering or harvesting, processing, storage, distribution, transportation and preparation. Lack of adequate food hygiene can lead to foodborne diseases.

With this in mind, ensuring that food is safe for human consumption is likely the most critical part of the food preparation process. This ranges from what is called farm to fork, meaning from the farms all the way to your plate.
